I wrote an article for Psychology Today entitled I’m Taking Crazy Back. I have been called crazy too many times to count, and by the 100th time it gets old. Crazy is a derogatory word. It is discriminatory. I wrote this piece to clarify how offensive this word is. You can read that article here

My friends who are struggling with mental illness are often discriminated against due to their issues. I am tired of it. I am sick of being misunderstood, called crazy, weird, eccentric or whatever. I’m a human and so are my friends.

I wrote this article with the intention of it being a monologue. I had the opportunity to record it. Without further ado, I’m not crazy…I’m human.

Please share this video if you have been called crazy.
